NAD+ therapy has a wide range of benefits and helps to alleviate the brain-destroying diseases of alcoholism, addiction, chronic stress, depression, anxiety, and autoimmune disorders. Combining innovation and compassion, our medical and therapeutic team provides healing and hope for people who are looking to relieve their pain and have a better quality of life.  NAD+ helps to diminish the effects of withdrawal symptoms and restores brain function to support your ongoing treatment and aftercare. We strive to help you with your personal success for long-term health and happiness.

Detoxification and Addiction Recovery

Intravenous IV NAD+ therapy is unlike any other therapy. It helps to rebalance the brain and body which allows for a gentle detoxification with minimal withdrawal symptoms and a reduction in cravings. IV NAD+ Therapy is able to flush the toxins out of your body while revitalizing your cells which may have been damaged by substance use, poor diet, chemicals, germs, or infections. Many report the rapid dissipation of brain fog, improved mood, and increased energy from BR+NAD therapy, compared to those who use other much less effective detoxification methods.

Craving Study

Treatment of substance abuse disorders continues to challenge clinicians and “cravings” for the abused substance are often impediments to sobriety. However, NicotinamideAdenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) has been used in the past with claims of having anti-craving properties. Previous data from this clinic using a similar formulation of NAD+ support the use of IV NAD Therapy as a valid treatment for drug cravings. This pilot study retrospectively examined the anti-craving properties of NAD+ in a group of 60 patients. Additionally, patients were assessed on the severity of cravings and relapse episodes at 12-20 months post-treatment.

More research has been documented

We also combine our BR+NAD IV therapy with the latest technology to help further reduce withdrawal symptoms.

Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)

PAWS includes symptoms such as low energy, problematic thinking, anxiety, depressed mood, brain fog, and mental cravings. Typically, with traditional treatment methods commonly used today, PAWS can persist anywhere between 6 months to 2 years of sober and clean time. PAWS is the most common and major contributor and cause of relapse.

demonstrated in a 2014 poster presentation to the Society for Neuroscience that following their BR+NAD IV treatment, patients sustained a significant reduction in self-report of cravings from both alcohol and opiates. The BR+NAD IV therapy protocol greatly accelerates brain recovery, which greatly diminishes, if not altogether eliminates, the patients suffering from PAWS.

Within 6-10 consecutive days of detox treatment with IV BR+NAD, patients achieve a level of physical and mental recovery that typically takes much longer for the brain to achieve on its own through standard sobriety methods – a physiologic advancement that is beyond the reach of standard detox treatment in residential or inpatient settings in the same short length of time.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis, can feel like a crippling illness with very little hope for a full recovery. Over 1 million adults diagnosed with CFS in America are struggling with everyday activities, such as doing the dishes or walking up a flight of stairs. There is hope, by replenishing your NAD levels and repairing the mitochondria, you can feel better, have more energy, get out of the funk of depression, and be yourself again.

Mitochondrial Dysfunction

The mitochondria within your cells are susceptible to defects and damage for various reasons. Mitochondria are structurally unique because they were once a type of bacteria that invaded the cell. But through the course of evolution and time, mitochondria have made a permanent home in our cells. Unlike nuclear DNA, often seen in the shape of an ‘x’, mitochondrial DNA is always in the shape of a ring. While this allows the DNA to be transcribed easily, it also makes it vulnerable to damage.

Chronic stress, disease, certain prescribed drugs, and opiates interfere with NAD+ metabolism, thus short-circuiting the energy production of cells. This is like Superman trying to fly with kryptonite in his pocket.

Brain Clarity (Getting out of the fog)

NAD+ supports the brain by rebalancing neurotransmitters and promoting the growth of new brain cells and neurons. This promotes mental clarity and emotional health.

Increase Energy

NAD+ is used to help support mitochondrial function, the part of the cell that produces energy. Without enough NAD+, the mitochondria cannot support normal cellular function, resulting in cell death. NAD+ can be rapidly depleted by excess DNA damage, thus limiting the amount of energy a cell can produce.

Chronic Pain

Many types of chronic pain are associated with nerve damage. NAD+ is able to repair the nerves, as well as repair the body from injury and damage.

Doctors and other health providers would agree that pain is often caused by low-grade and chronic inflammation. Diet, stress, exercise, environmental toxins, and certain medications are

just a few factors that can lead to inflammation within the body, along with enhancing energy metabolism and cell vitality. While there are many factors that cause inflammation and pain, researchers have identified key enzymes involved with the regulation of inflammation.

Sirtuins are a class of NAD+-dependent enzymes that mainly function to turn on or off gene expression. Many of these genes are linked to regulating inflammation, along with enhancing energy metabolism and cell vitality. Sirtuins are known to play a protective role by reducing inflammation, especially in CRPS and neurodegeneration. The metabolism of NAD+ is responsible for the activation of these important Sirtuins and thus reducing inflammation.

Changing lifestyle factors, such as diet, supplementation, exercise, and stress reduction, are natural and effective ways to reduce inflammation.

IV NAD Therapy has been studied for reducing inflammation and its role in protecting the cells. NAD+ is a promising therapy for chronic pain, as well as other chronic conditions and detoxification from chemical dependence, especially opioids, and alcohol.

Benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Humans depend upon the consumption of oxygen all the time. Most atmospheric air comprises roughly 21% oxygen. Oxygen is necessary for the production of cellular energy in the mitochondria of every cell in the body. The use of pure 100% oxygen in a high-pressure atmosphere has been shown to have extraordinary health benefits. In this article, you will discover the health benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The hyperbaric chamber has pure oxygen coming in at pressures 1.5 – 3 times the normal atmospheric pressure. Treatment times range from 30-90 minutes. Using oxygen at higher pressures causes up to 20 times more oxygen to be absorbed by the blood and transferred to injured organs and tissues. This speeds healing and recovery time in addition to other benefits.

HBOT and mHBOT:

Breathing in 100% (pure) oxygen under increased pressure, called HBOT, allows the extra oxygen to be taken up by the bloodstream and dissolved at a far greater rate. This extra oxygen can help where healing is slowed down by infection or where blood supply is limited by damage to the tissues. 100% oxygen is considered a drug by the FDA and one needs a prescription to use it. Mild Hyperbaric Therapy (mHBOT) has shown significant results and uses around 95% oxygen at a 1.3-1.4 atmospheric pressure.

What Is NAD+?

NAD+ is a naturally occurring co-enzyme in your body that participates in major metabolic processes. Due to its anti-oxidant nature, it provides a state of balance by acting as a janitor. Metabolism produces tons of free radicals, which are highly reactive and attach to different cell membranes. This oxidative burden disintegrates cellular structures and tissues, leading to aging, but NAD+ puts a tight handle on it.

There is one caveat, though.

The NAD+ levels in your body decrease because the NAD hydrolase enzyme, which degrades NAD+ in the body, rises with age. The metabolic pathways that produce NAD also slow down with advancing age, resulting in low NAD levels.

Therefore, your skin wrinkles, energy levels decline, brain fog increases, and many chronic diseases appear gradually.

Does NAD+ Therapy Work?

You can increase your NAD+ levels naturally, but its supplementation also proves highly effective. In addition, it is safe and easy to introduce to the body.

The NAD+ therapy works on the principle of introducing NAD+ or its various precursors such as nucleoside riboside (NR), nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), and nicotinic acid in the body.

These elements convert into NAD+ through various pathways and your stores.

What Are The Benefits Of NAD?

There is a substantial evidence base available that proves IV NAD Therapy is promising. Some of the benefits backed by science are as follows:

  • According to a study published in The Journal of Psychoses and Related Disorders, NAD+ therapy may prove effective in Schizophrenia. It is because oxidative stress is a significant part of the underlying mechanism of Schizophrenia and other neurodegenerative disorders. Since NAD+ is a potent anti-oxidative and mitochondrial metabolism regulator, it can prevent this damage.
  • NAD+ therapy improves neurological function by increasing your focus and giving you clarity. It also boosts energy production and optimizes oxygen supply to the brain, reducing brain fog and enhancing cognitive abilities.
  • NAD+ acts as a co-factor and activates enzymes in the skin that carry out DNA repair. This DNA recovery protects your skin from photo-aging, UV damage, and wrinkling.
  • NAD+ therapy boosts drug detox by flushing drugs out of your system rapidly. It also improves fatigue and other withdrawal symptoms. One interesting thing is that it can potentially protect the liver from alcoholic damage, but more research is needed to explore this possibility.

How Can You Take NAD+ Therapy?

You can supplement NAD+ through oral pills and capsules or an intravenous line (IV). The IV NAD+ is often considered superior because it goes into the blood directly. Oral tablets or capsules break down in the gut and absorb through the intestinal wall.

Therefore, their bioavailability or quantity in the blood is relatively lesser. They also take more time to start an action and take consistency because you need to take a tablet daily.

How Long Does NAD+ Therapy Last?

The NAD+ supplementation and its duration depend on the treatment goal, the nature of NAD+ supplement, and the treatment provider.

  • Treatment goal

You may need more sessions of infusion or a higher dosage of NAD+ daily for addiction and withdrawals. However, energy boost and anti-aging impact only require approximately one to two weeks of NAD+ infusions.

For instance, some facilities provide three infusions for anti-aging therapy in three weeks and a maintenance dose of one infusion per month. A higher amount is appropriate for neurological diseases with a daily infusion for five to ten days and then one infusion every other day for two weeks.

  • Type of Supplement

The duration of therapy also depends on the type of supplement. If you take NAD+ precursors, their quantity may vary. For instance, research suggests that 200mg of tryptophan and niacin daily in a tablet or capsule form is sufficient for increasing NAD+ stores. Other precursors may require larger quantities due to their relatively smaller bioavailability.

  • Individual Needs

NAD+ therapy is not uniform and depends on individual needs. It is why every facility recommends you get a consultation before starting treatment, especially in the case of IV therapy.

Are There Any Side Effects?

The concerns about side effects, especially with consumption in higher quantities and longer durations, are legitimate.

The research suggests that NAD+ and precursors like niacin, NMR, and vitamin B3 are largely safe for human use. The problems arise with impurities or contamination present in poor-quality supplements.

However, scientists advise caution because excessive and prolonged use may increase diabetes and Parkinson’s risk. But we need more research to explore these hypotheses and implement quality control.

NAD+ therapy has several potential benefits and is an emerging field. However, the dosing or NAD+ treatment depends on the type of supplement, formulation, and the disorder being treated. So, it is always a good idea to consider these things before initiating the therapy.
